A few helpful commands I'm collecting to figure out what's inside the machine from the Command Line Interface (CLI): 

$ sudo dmidecode | more
#A readout from your motherboard, give you name, model, which ram slot's have chips etc.

$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
#What processor do you have?
